VOICES stands for Value, Opportunity, Inclusion, Choice, Equity & Support.

VOICES is a participation program designed to give people with intellectual disability a way to input their ideas into our work. Members of the NSW Council for Intellectual Disability (NSW CID) with intellectual disability run regular forums for people with intellectual disability on issues relevant to their lives.

The forums are run in different areas throughout NSW focusing on various issues from women’s rights, employment, accommodation, the health system to Indigenous and multicultural issues.

The forums are coordinated by the NSW CID Speak Out Reach Out (SORO) committee. The SORO committee is made up of people with intellectual disability, including our Board members with intellectual disability.
