The Speak Out Reach Out committee (SORO)

The Participation committee of our Board of Directors was established in 2002 to ensure that people with intellectual disability participate meaningfully in our organisation.

The SORO committee makes sure that the concerns of people with an intellectual disability are at the centre of everything that the NSW Council for Intellectual Disability (NSW CID) does.

SORO assists other NSW CID committees and working groups to include people with intellectual disability in accessible and appropriate ways. SORO also generates ideas about how NSW CID can include people with intellectual disability in all of our work.
