How can you help people with intellectual disability become valued members of the community?

Become a NSW CID member.

As a member you will receive our quarterly newsletter and additional publications. This is an excellent benefit of membership, but being a member of NSW CID also has significant meaning – you are helping people with intellectual disability become valued of members of our society.

At NSW CID it is our role to both represent and work with people with intellectual disability. We undertake all of our work with the active participation of people with intellectual disability. We aim to be leaders in the area of participation, and we try to ensure all of our advocacy work truly represents the needs and interests of people with intellectual disability.

However many people with intellectual disability cannot afford to become members of our organisation. We therefore do not charge a membership fee for people with intellectual disability. By paying your annual membership you make it possible for people with intellectual disability to be members of our organisation. You also assist us in hiring our Participation Coordinator who organises all of our work with people with intellectual disability.
