The Jim McLoughlin Reference Library

Who was Jim McLoughlin?

Mr Jim McLoughlin, was the chairperson of NSW CID from 1965 to 1984.

He donated a significant number of publications to the early collection.

He was very important to NSW CID.

What is in the library?

Materials relating to people with intellectual disability.

We have old books and new books.

We have DVDs.

We have magazines.

We have videos.

We have picture books.

We have books about health, housing, families and relationships, and speaking up for your rights.  There are many more subjects.

Who can come to the library?

People who can come to the library are:

  1. NSW CID Staff
  2. NSW CID Directors
  3. members of NSW CID
  4. people with intellectual disability
  5. parents, carers and friends of people with intellectual disability
  6. academics
  7. staff of Health and Community Services organisations, and
  8. students.

What days can I visit the library?

You can visit our library on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

What times can I visit the library?

You can visit our library between the hours of 10am and 4pm.

Do I have to make an appointment?
