Get More Skills Workshops are changing…
We’re refreshing our My Choice Matters workshops to make sure they continue to meet the needs of people with disability. Whether you are someone who attended one of our previous sessions or completely new to our workshops, we will work with you to further your journey and get the most out of the session.
For over 3 years our Get More Skills workshops have supported people with disability and their families as they prepare for the changes to disability support and the rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
But now that many people already have plans under the NDIS, we have adapted our workshop content to address new issues and challenges. So whether you are someone who attended one of our previous sessions or completely new to our workshops, we will work with you to further your journey and get the most out of the session.
Here are some of the questions we will cover in our new workshop format:
- What does my plan mean?
- Who helps me implement my plan?
- How do I decide how to manage my plan?
- How can I prepare for my review meeting?
- How do I appeal if I am not happy with my plan?
- Can I be supported to reach new goals?
So do register for our new Get More Skills Good Life workshops and come along to think more about what progress you have made towards your goals, how your life could be better, and what supports you might need to reach your goals.
Our workshops will continue to be interactive and relaxed, so come along and share knowledge and gain more choice, voice and control over your life.
